MLP: PAM S2 E25: The Haunted House

It was Nightmare Night in Ponyville. Lyra Strings and Bon Bon decided to do something special for this night. They were making preparations for this at the town hall.

Lyra: So. What is your plan for this Nightmare Night, Bon Bon?

Bon Bon: I've heard that there's an old haunted house at the edge of Ponyville.

Lyra: Wait. You mean....the old abandoned house? The one no pony has gone into for years?

Bon Bon: That's the one.

Lyra: But...we can't do that. We don't know what's inside.

Bon Bon: What could be inside? It's just an empty old house. Isn't it?

Lyra wasn't sure. She had the feeling that the house was haunted.

Lyra: I've heard there's a corn maze going on at Sweet Apple Acres. Can't we go to that instead?

Bon Bon: That won't be very excited. I think we should have some real fun on Nightmare Night.

Lyra: Well, I suppose we could go to it.

Bon Bon: Great.

Later on, the two friends arrived at the old abandoned house at the edge of Ponyville. Lyra wasn't so sure about it.

Lyra: Oh boy.

Bon Bon: Isn't this.....scaaaaarrrrryyyyyy?

Lyra nodded.

Bon Bon: Then let's go.

Bon Bon went ahead. Lyra slowly followed. They walked up the porch steps and went inside. They walked inside the house.

Lyra: Uh...Bon Bon, I'm not sure if...

Just then, the door boards collapsed, trapping them.

Bon Bon and Lyra: AAAAH!

Lyra: We're trapped!

Bon Bon: That's great!

Lyra: Great? How? We're stuck in here and no pony may ever find us.

Bon Bon: We can find our own way out. Come on. Let's go up the stairs to see where they go?

Bon Bon started to go up the stairs to the second floor. Then Lyra followed her. They made it to the second floor.

Lyra: Should we at least try to find an exist first, Bon Bon?

Bon Bon: Nah. We'll find one at the end.

Bon Bon then went into the old bathroom. They saw the faucent of the sink had broken, and the tub was filled with cobwebs.

Lyra: Oh dear. This bathroom is a wreck.

Bon Bon: Scary, isn't it?

Lyra just zipped off. Bon Bon shrugged and went after her. They then arrived at an old bedroom. The bedroom still had a bed, but it was ripped in the mattress.

Bon Bon: This looks pretty cool.

Bon Bon walked in. She then saw a chest.

Bon Bon: Hmmmm. I wonder what could be in here.

Bon Bon prepared to open the chest, but Lyra stopped her.

Lyra: You shouldn't look in there.

Bon Bon: Uh...Why not?

Lyra: Because....there might be something scary in there.

Bon Bon: What could be scary?

Lyra: Maybe there are ghosts trapped inside of there.

Bon Bon: Lyra, there is no such things as ghosts.

Lyra: Oh really?

Bon Bon: Really.

Bon Bon paused at the chest for a moment.

Bon Bon: You know what, I think you have a point. We don't know what could be in the chest.

Lyra: Yeah. Plus, whatever is inside is none of our business.

Bon Bon: It's probably some old clothes.

Lyra: Or maybe some old jewelry.

All of a sudden, they couldn't help to be curious.

Lyra: I can't take it. I need to see what's inside!

Bon Bon: Me too!

Lyra: Shall we open it together?

Bon Bon: Yes.

Lyra and Bon Bon: One, two, three!

They opened the chest together and looked inside.

Lyra: What?

Inside the chest was a rusted old harp.

Bon Bon: A harp? Why would one single harp be kept in a chest like this one?

Lyra: Maybe whoever put it in there didn't want anypony to know where it was.

Then, they heard a noise. They turned around and saw a door had just opened.

Bon Bon: I wonder where that goes to.

Bon Bon started to walk over to the door and Lyra followed behind. They took a peak inside.

Lyra: Where do you think this leads to?

Bon Bon started to walk forward.

Bon Bon: Well, we could take a l-

But then, Bon Bon dropped below. Lyra was in shock at this. She tried to lean in so much to see where Bon Bon was going that she fell in as well.

Lyra: AAAAAHHHHH!!!!

They soon landed.

Bon Bon: Oh man. That was some fall.

It was dark, and they couldn't see where they were.

Lyra: Bon Bon, do you know where we are?

Bon Bon: No. It's too dark. I can't see a thing.

Lyra: You wouldn't happen to have a light, would you?

Bon Bon: Lyra, you're the unicorn. You should make a light.

Lyra: Oh yeah.

So Lyra used her magic to make a light. They saw that they had falling into the basement with all sorts of old beat up stuff.

Lyra: I wonder if there is any exist around here.

Bon Bon: Maybe there's a secret passage to someplace.

Lyra: That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Bon Bon: Just lead to way to see if there's a way to get out of this basement.

Lyra walked around for a while to find any exists. Then, she found a staircase.

Lyra: Hey, I think I found some stairs.

Bon Bon: I wonder if they lead back upstairs.

Lyra: Maybe they lead out.

So Lyra and Bon Bon walked up the stairs until they came across a closed door.

Lyra: OK, so we've got a closed door on us.

Bon Bon: Why don't you open it?

Lyra: Sure thing.

Lyra tried to open the door, but it was stuck.

Lyra: Ugh. It won't open.

Bon Bon: Let me try.

Bon Bon kicked the door, but nothing happened.

Lyra: You see?

Bon Bon kicked the door again until it busted open. They saw they were now in the kitchen.

Lyra: Oh. This must be the kitchen.

Bon Bon: I wonder if there's any food here.

Lyra: Why would there be food in an abandoned house?

Bon Bon: You never know.

Bon Bon opened the refrigerator, but the only thing inside as an empty milk carton and a plate of crumbs.

Lyra: You see?

Then, Lyra noticed a back door.

Lyra: Hey, that must be the way out.

Lyra ran over to the door and tried to open it. But it wouldn't budge.

Lyra: Uh. It's stuck.

Bon Bon: Let me handle it.

Bon Bon knocked the door down and they could leave.

Lyra: Good going, Bon Bon. Now we can leave. I guess that was exciting after all.

Bon Bon: It sure was. But...I just hope we don't get in trouble for it.

Lyra: Yeah. I'm with you there. Maybe we could go in again?

Bon Bon: Or we could just go to the Apple Family's corn maze.

Lyra: Yeah. Let's do that.

Bon Bon: But we'll need costumes for it.

Lyra: I agree.

So Lyra and Bon Bon went off to change into some Nightmare Night costumes and go to the Apple Family's corn maze.
