SDA: S6 F4: Treasure Hunting

It was an ordinary day at the hedgehog family's house. Same stuff happening. Nothing unusual, Amy gets ready to go on her police duties, Sarah, Shaun and Will come by the house for the day while their parents are at work. Sonic just watching over the kids. But there was something that Jr often had to do around the house, and that this would be....chores. Jr didn't like doing chores cause that took him away from his playtime. But on that day...

Sonic: Jr, would you go and unload the laundry?

Jr: Must I have to?

Amy: Someone has to do the work, Jr.

Jr: But there's so much I can do today. Things that aren't chores.

Amy: Jr, we all need to do our parts to keep the house tidy.

Sonic: Hey, Amy, Jr can unload the laundry now and do the rest of the chores later.

Amy: What?

Sonic: Relax, it'll be fine.

Amy: OK.

And soon left. Jr went to unload the dryer. Sarah and her bros then arrived.

Sarah: Hey Jr. What are you up to today?

Jr: I need to finish unloading the laundry, they we can go and play.

Sarah: I can help.

Jr: You would? Thanks.

So Jr and Sarah unloaded the laundry together. Rosie, Shaun and Will kind of helped. But they also were goofing off. Soon Jr took the last bit of clothes out of the laundry, but under the laundry was a note.

Jr: What's this?

Jr put the laundry into the hamper and got the note.

Jr: Hmmm. Let's see here. It says "You have found the first clue to finding my treasure." First clue?

Sarah: First clue?

Jr: I don't know how this note got here. Anyway, it says "If you want to find the next clue, go to the backyard where there are weeds. My next clue can be found there." Backyard?

Everyone soon got to the backyard.

Sarah: Why do you think the note said "Where there are weeds"?

Jr: Sometimes weeds grow in our yard and Dad has me pick them sometimes.

Rosie: Sounds kind of odd that a note would be found where the weeds grow.

Jr: I know.

Jr then found the weeds.

Jr: Oh, there're the weeds.

Everyone went to the weeds.

Jr: Now to find that note.

Jr searched through the weeds, but found nothing.

Jr: There should be a note in her somewhere.

Rosie: Maybe we should pick them out of the ground.

Jr: Hmmm. OK.

So everyone started picking out the weeds and threw them in the nearby garbage can. After a while of picking, Shaun pulled the last weed and found the note.

Shaun: Hey, I found the note.

Jr: Great.

Jr then picked it up.

Jr: "Congrats for finding this note. The next step to finding my treasure is hidden in your bedroom." Hidden in my bedroom?

Sarah: Do you think the map means your bedroom, Jr? Or does it mean Rosie's or your mom and dad's room?

Jr: We'll have to check them all out.

So they first went into Sonic and Amy's bedroom and looked around, but found nothing. Next they went to Rosie's room. But there was nothing there. They then went to Jr's room, which was a mess.

Jr: Hmmm. This is the last bedroom in the house. The next step should be found here.

Will: Well, let's go searching.

Everybody picked up the toys and put them away. They put the clothes lying on the floor down the laundry chute. Soon the room was clean.

Jr: Well, we didn't find anything here.

Rosie then noticed something under the run.

Rosie: What's this?

Everyone walked towards her.

Shaun: What's what?

Rosie: This.

Rosie held a piece of paper. Jr took it and read it.

Jr: "You have found the final map to the treasure. Just following the path and you'll find it."

So they followed the map, but the X was in the kitchen.

Sarah: The treasure must be under the kitchen. I don't think your mom and dad will be happen if you dig a hole in the kitchen.

Jr: Maybe they won't if we find treasure.

They followed the path into the kitchen to where X marked the spot. But they found a cloth with an X on it. Jr pulled the cloth off and under it was a plate of cookies.

Jr: Cookies. This must be the treasure.

Sarah: Wow. But, why is it cookies?

Sonic was also in the room.

Sonic: Because that's my treasure for you guys.

Everyone: Huh?

Sonic: I left all those notes around the house. I left them there so you, Jr, could do your chores.

Jr: This treasure hunting was so I would do my chores?

Sonic: Yep. Thanks for pulling those weeds in the yard. And thank you for cleaning your room.

Jr: Oh. Good one, Dad.

So everybody started to eat the cookies. It was all worth the hunting. Though some of them wished they found a real treasure chest. But it was still fun anyways.
