TUFF Agents S4E6: Snaptrap Day

One morning at DOOM, Snaptrap woke up from his bed.

Snaptrap: (Yawns and scratches his back)

Ollie then came in with a breakfast plate.

Ollie: Wakey wakey. (Sets plate down on the table)

Snaptrap: Oh. How nice of you to bring me breakfast, Ollie.

Ollie: It's a special breakfast, Boss. Today's the day we're finally going to stop those TUFF Agents.

Snaptrap: Yeah. My new diabolical scheme should work perfectly.

Ollie: Should we tell Francisco and Larry about the plan?

Snaptrap: I've already told them, but we should go over the plans with them soon.

Ollie: Good thinking.

Later on, they got together to discuss the plan.

Snaptrap: OK. Today, we're going to interfere with the TUFF Agents as they are watching a movie today.

Larry: That's the plan?

Snaptrap: There's more to it, Larry. Once we've spoiled their movie time, we're going to capture them all with our nets and throw them into the shark tank.

Francisco: Boss, the TUFF Agents would just come out alive like Larry always does.

Snatrap: Well then, I think we should see if you come out alive as well. (Presses a button to fling Francisco into the shark tank)

Larry: He's right, you know.

Snaptrap: You want to join him in the shark tank, Larry?

Larry: NO!

Snaptrap: Then let's get going on our plan.

Over at TUFF, the agents were getting things ready. Dudley and I got the film out of the closet, Kitty and Robyn were getting the seats all set up, and Cal was making the popcorn. We even had a popcorn machine over at TUFF. So we had all settled in.

Dudley: This movie will be so exciting.

Kitty: I heard there's a twist ending.

Cal: Really? I wonder what it could be?

Snaptrap and his men were ready to spring the trap.

Snaptrap: OK, guys. Now.

Snaptrap and his men burst into TUFF.

Eli: Guys, it's Snaptrap. We better put our movie on hold and stop him.

Snaptrap: Oh, you won't have to worry about that. (Shots his blaster at the projection screen)

Dudley: (Moves a chair out in front of the blast and it gets burned instead) Poor chair. You were so brave.

Francisco and Ollie tried to throw nets on us, but Kitty managed to blast them away. Dudley and Kitty then went over and arrested Francisco and Ollie. Cal and Robyn got Larry and I got Snaptrap.

Eli: You failed again, Snaptrap.

Snaptrap: I'm not even going to bother saying it this time.

Larry: He shall now plot his revenge!

Snaptrap:

We soon locked Snaptrap and his men in prison.

Snaptrap: This is just great. The perfect plan is ruined. I can't seem to do anything right.

Ollie: Look on the bright side, Boss. At least we can spend this time thinking about what we could do for out next scheme.

Snaptrap: I'm just going to sleep. (Walks over to the bed and falls asleep)

The next morning, Snaptrap started to open his eyes. (The camera has his eyes zoomed up)

Snaptrap: (Yawn) Another day in the prison cell. Well actually it's the first-(Opens his eyes completely to find he's back at DOOM) Wait a minute. DOOM? Was that a dream? Is this a dream?

Ollie then came in with a breakfast plate.

Ollie: Wakey wakey. (Sets plate down on the table)

Snaptrap: Ollie, what happened? Aren't we suppose to be in jail?

Ollie: Jail? What are you talking about? We were released from jail a month ago.

Snaptrap: But yesterday, we tried to stop TUFF and capture them once and for all, but they caught us and put us in jail again.

Ollie: No we didn't. We were right here, plotting out the plan to stop TUFF.

Snaptrap: Hold on. Hold on. What's the date?

Ollie: It's January 22nd, Boss.

Snaptrap: That was yesterday's date. What's going on? Did the day start over? Well no matter. It gives me a second chance to get on with our evil plan.

Snaptrap went over the plan again to his henchmen and went to try and stop TUFF again, but they were put into jail once again.

Snaptrap: Great. The same plan failed twice.

Larry: Twice? But we've only done it once.

Snaptrap: To me it's twice because the day started over and I'm the only one who knows it.

Snaptrap went to bed in the prison cell, but woke up the next morning at DOOM again. The day started over yet again.

Snaptrap: Is it the same old day again?

Ollie then came in with a breakfast plate.

Snaptrap: Yep. It is.

Ollie: What is, Boss?

Snaptrap: The same day started over and I'm the only one not affected by it.

Ollie: Um...OK. Anyway, today's the day we'll finally stop those TUFF Agents.

Snaptrap: Actually Ollie, I'm canceling the plan.

Ollie: Huh? Wh-Why?

Snaptrap: Because if I try to stop TUFF, the day will just start over again. So I'm not even going to bother going out again, this time.

(When Snaptrap explained this to Larry and Francisco...)

Larry: Oh come on, Snaptrap! You're seriously giving up the plan because you claim that the day will just start over?

Francisco: Boss, I think you might have just been having a dream.

Snaptrap: It's already happened twice guys. This is my third time living this day.

Ollie: Boss, not to be rude or anything, but I don't think you going out is a cause of the time loop. I think the day will just start over again no matter what.

Snaptrap: Well, we'll just have to see, won't we. Of course if the day does start over again, I'll be the only one to know.

And indeed, the next morning, the day did start over.

Snaptrap: Is it the 23rd?

Ollie then came in with the same breakfast.

Snaptrap: Nope. Same day.

Ollie: Huh?

Snaptrap: Actually, this same day over and over again might not be so bad. I could keep trying my evil plan and learn from my mistakes. Then I'll know what not to do on the next try.

So that's what Snaptrap did. He kept trying to ruin our movie night and observed what went wrong, such as telling Larry to shove Dudley out of the way as he tried to stop the projection screen from being destroyed, then to make sure the TUFF Agents didn't have their blasters, so they wouldn't be able to prevent themselves from getting caught in the net. Soon, Snaptrap finally managed to stop the TUFF Agents.

Kitty: I don't understand. How did he know our every move?

Dudley: It's like he studied us or something.

Eli: I never thought it would end like this. Well, it was nice knowing you guys.

Snaptrap: I did it I finally did it. I defeated TUFF.

But of course the next morning, Snaptrap woke up in his bed to find the day had once again started over.

Snaptrap: ARGH! I can't take this anymore! I want a new day. I don't care if I'm in jail again, I just want to stop reliving the same day over and over (Cuts to me, Dudley, Kitty, Robyn, Cal, and Keswick outside the simulation stations) and over and over again.

It turned out that the same day Snaptrap was reliving over and over again was just a hologram made by the simulation station. We put Snaptrap in it after he was arrested the first time (And in reality, the only time) he tried to stop us during our movie night.

Cal: You know I think this was a silly idea.

Dudley: I agree. Keswick, can we stop it now?

Keswick: OK. I g-g-guess this was kind of silly. (Turns the simulation off)

(Inside the simulator, everything turns off.)

Snaptrap: What? We're am I?

The door to the simulator opened up.

Kitty: You're in TUFF's simulator room.

Snaptrap: TUFF's simulator? So it was all a dream?

Robyn: Well, you could say that.

Eli: Keswick got the idea to use this simulation room to make you think you were reliving the same day over and over again.

Snaptrap: Oh. How long has that been going on?

Kitty: About a week. It's the 30th now.

Snaptrap: Well, I'm happy that I don't have to relive the same day again and again anymore. I just want to go back to my normal life.

Chief: Well Snaptrap, I think you're free to go now. You have been suffering from the same day thing long enough, I'll call that good enough for you.

Snaptrap: Wait, what about my henchmen?

Kitty: We'll let them go, too.

Snaptrap: Thanks, guys.

Snaptrap and his henchmen then returned to DOOM.

Snaptrap: It feels so good to be spending a brand new day here at DOOM, and not having to relive the same day over and over and over again.

Ollie: The same day over and over again?

Snaptrap: Yep. It was getting pretty boring.

The next morning, Snaptrap woke from his bed and Ollie came in with the exact same breakfast as before.

Ollie: Wakey wakey. (Sets plate down on the table)

Snaptrap: Oh no. Not this again!

Ollie: Just kidding, boss. It's the 31st.

Snaptrap: Oh. That's a relief. But I haven't got any ideas for a crime we could commit, and I think I want to stay out of them for a while after what happened last week.

Before we close this fanfic, let's see what happened on our end, shall we?

That night while Snaptrap was asleep in the cell, we opened it without waking him.

Eli: Are you sure we should do this, Keswick?

Keswick: Sure. It'll be pru-pru-pretty funny, right?

Dudley: I guess so.

So we went in, lifted Snaptrap off the bed in the cell, and then quietly took him to the simulation room. Keswick then pushed a button to make the simulator turn into DOOM.

Keswick: This will be pretty fun to watch, right?

Dudley: I don't know. Can't we just let Snaptrap take the time like the other villains?

Eli: Yeah?

Keswick: But I always wanted to use the simulator to trick a bad guy into thinking he was reliving the same day over and over.

Dudley: And yet you won't let me play in the simulator to do anything I want.
