Woodland Squadron Foresger Ch18: The Sixth Hero P2

The Foresgers are now facing their latest challenge. Recently, a sixth Foresger has emerged. However...

This Foresger is fighting against the others instead of with under the orders of Poluton. Can the Foresgers figure out why?

The Foresgers return to the Nature Center to tell Canis about what had happened.

Ron: It was so strange.

Bernard: I thought Foresgers only fought for good.

Natasha: But why was this one fighting for evil?

Canis: A Foresger shouldn't fight for evil. Anyone evil will be denied the Foresger powers.

Bob: But, somehow, this new Foresger, whoever he is, managed to gain the powers and use it against us.

Canis: Hmmmm.

Ron: What is it?

Canis: This is a mystery indeed, one speculation I have is that maybe Poluton somehow managed to mess with the Foresger Changer's transforming abilities, or perhaps this new Foresger is brainwashed.

Heather: It would make good sense.

Ron: Wait a minute. I thought there were only 5 Foresger Changers, but there are more?

Canis:......Yes. There are more.

Our heroes were surprised to hear this news.

Ron: How many more?

Canis: Well, you see....

(Flashback Begins)

Canis VO: When Poluton first invaded my home world, I created the Foresger powers. There actually were a total of 10 powers. The first 4 I made had the powers of a Black Foresger, an Orange one, a Purple one, and a Cyan one.

Bernard VO: What sort of color is Cyan?

Bob VO: It's a lighter shade of blue, Bernard.

Bernard VO: Oh.

Canis VO: Anyway. The next set of powers I created after those first four were for that of a White Foresger, which is the power that Foresger you saw is using now.

Heather VO: So, our powers weren't the first to be made?

Canis VO: No they are not, Heather. After the White Powers were made, I then created the 5 powers you all hold now. I took on the Cyan powers and fought against Poluton, but I had nobody to help me. Right before Poluton was sealed away, he casted a spell to try to scatter the Foresger Powers, thankfully, he wasn't able to scatter every one of them. The 5 you now hold were the only ones that remained in my possession.

The Flashback ends.

Canis: There were 5 powers that got lost when I arrived on Earth, but it seems Poluton has found one of the missing Foresger Changers. When I created the powers, I made it so that only someone with a heart of good could use them and anyone evil will be denied, but it seems Poluton somehow managed to bypass this Foresger Changer's abilities.

At Poluton's Castle...

Poluton: Well done, Edward. Your first fight with the Foresgers was magnificent.

But Edward wasn't feeling very good for some reason.

Edward: Yeah, uh....They said they were protecting Earth from you.

Poluton: Those are lies. They're not protecting Earth from me, you are protecting Earth from them.

Edward had the feeling he was being lied to, but he wasn't sure.

Poluton: Anyway, they've put up with a good fight, but you need some training in order to defeat them next time. The Poluters will be happy to help you train.

Edward: Oh...OK.

So Edward trained by fighting with the Poluters. After he was finished.

Poluton: Very good. You should be ready to fight them the next time you see them. I just have something to do. I'll be with you in a moment.

Poluton went to see Dr. Quill.

Poluton: Dr. Quill, how is the next monster coming along?

Dr. Quill: It's quite difficult to make a monster that doesn't look so much like...a monster. I'm trying to find something that will not make Edward feel suspicious about us.

Poluton: Well, you will need to come up with something. Wormbreath!

Wormbreath just dug a hole out of the ground and popped out.

Wormbreath: Yes, sire?

Poluton: Ugh.

Poluton couldn't believe Wormbreath made another hole in the ground. Back with our heroes, there were sent on a quest. They needed to find Edward and bring him back to the Nature Center, so they could figure out what was really going on.

Ron: Well, we've never got to Poluton's castle before.

Bernard: It's a shame Canis doesn't even know where it is, except that it has to be somewhere in our own park.

Bob: Canis did say it was well hidden, so it could take us a while to find.

Natasha: I sure hope we can figure out why this new guy is fighting us and hopefully get him to fight with us instead of against us.

Ron: It might take some time to convince him. Canis said nobody with an evil heart could ever use the Foresger powers, so that could mean this new guy isn't actually evil.

Heather: Well how can that really be? How can you do evil things and not actually be evil?

Bob: It's been done, Heather. It has been done. People have been known to do evil without actually being evil.

Natasha: Perhaps Poluton tricked him into thinking we were his enemies.

Ron: Well, we're not going to get very far with just talking. We've got to fight Poluton's castle.

Just then, a hole appeared in the ground and out came Wormbreath.

Ron: Wormbreath!

Wormbreath: That's me. I've also brought some friends to help me destroy you.

The Poluters popped out of the hole too.

Ron: Oh dear. Everyone, transform!

All: Forest Changer!

They transformed and started to fight the Poluters. After a while, the Poluters were nothing but bits of trash.

Ron: OK. That seems to have gotten them.

The other four Foresgers then noticed something.

Natasha: Ron, look out.

Ron: What?

Then he saw Edward coming in again. Edward knocked Ron over a hill and they landed on the ground.

Ron: Oh dear. White Ranger, it's you again.

Edward: Indeed.

Ron: But, why are you doing this? Why are you fighting against us?

Edward: Haven't I explained it already? I'm fighting to protect the Earth from you.

Ron: You're doing no such thing. You're fighting to help destruct the earth.

Edward: Do you really expect me to believe that?

They then started to fight, back at the top of the hill, the other Foresgers fought Wormbreath. Wormbreath couldn't do very well since he was blind. Poluton called him away.

Natasha: He's gone.

Bob: We better see how Ron is doing.

So they hurried to the hill and saw the Red and White Rangers fighting one another.

Ron: Come with us. We can help protect Earth together.

Edward: I'm not falling for that. You're going to make me your prisoner.

Ron: We won't. We just want to know what's going on.

Edward: I'm not telling you anything if it's going to deal some damage to my commander.

Poluton: Very good, Edward. Now I think I shall make you grow.

Poluton got out his staff and the energy sounded Edward, but nothing happened.

Edward: What? What was that?

Ron: Huh?

Poluton tried again, but nothing.

Poluton: What's going on? I can't make Edward grow giant.

Dr. Quill: Sire, your magic only makes your monsters and minions grow. Edward is not your real minion.

Poluton: It can't be. I can't make my own Foresger grow! I don't believe this.

Back with our heroes, they came down the hill and joined with Ron.

Natasha: Ron, what happened?

Ron: That energy that usually surrounds monsters before they grow surrounded Edward. But nothing happened.

Edward: What? Monster?

Ron: Don't you know about Poluton and his monsters?

Edward was starting to put things together in his mind. What were the Foresgers talking about? Why did Poluton's magic to make his monsters grown not work on Edward? Will Edward realize his mistake? Tune in tomorrow to watch the story continue.
