Sonic, TUFF, and Pony Christmas Part 5

We managed to defeat Hatred, and restored the powers of the Chaos Emeralds, the Rainbow Power, and Discord's magic, and we were able to return all the stolen Christmas decorations, but something's wrong with Brandon. He's turned into a ghost.

Julia: Brandon, what has happened to you?

Brandon: (Distorted voice) Neither the world of life or death would accept me. I'm a ghost stuck between both.

Julia: A-A ghost?

Brandon: With the Sapphire of Imagination drained along with all the power Hatred absorbed gone, nothing can change that.

Dudley: But the scepter was suppose to restore the powers that Hatred drained. Including the Sapphire of Imagination.

Twilight: Has it not been restored?

Brandon: No. Even if it were, my Life Energy can't regenerate now that it's completely drained.

Julia: Brandon, I wish I could hug you right now. (Starts to cry)

Rainbow:

Applejack: Are you crying, Rainbow?

Rainbow: N-Well, yes.

Then, suddenly, chains started to wrap around Brandon's body. Everyone then gasped.

Julia: What's happening to you?

Applejack: You're not becoming like Jacob Marley, are you?

Brandon: I am. These chains are made by the bad stuff I did when I was alive. Now, I have to carry them for all eternity.

All: Gasps!

Julia: No. This can't be!

Michael: (Walks over and puts his hand on Julia's back)

Julia:

Dudley: Is there anyway we can stop it?

Brandon: No. Don't even bother trying. (He tearfully walks away)

Julia: This is all my fault.

Michael: How is it your fault?

Julia: I asked Brandon to come to the Christmas party, and because he did, Hatred got to him. If he stay in Equestria, this wouldn't have happened.

Brandon: No. It's my fault to think I could ever be truly happy. My life's been nothing but a joke for the last five years. I'm better off dead. Everyone hates me.

Julia: I...don't hate you....

Brandon: Those are nice words, but at the end of the day, that's all they are: words. Everyone hates me. I'm a failure!

Eli: Let's just not bother anymore, guys. We tried, but we can't change Brandon. I wish we could, but we've determined that we can't.

Brandon started to walk out the door. Julia wanted to go after him, but Kitty stopped her.

Kitty:

We saw Brandon go into an alley outside of TUFF. We all wished there was something we could do for him, but by that point in time, we pretty much gave up. We wanted to do something for him, but we didn't think there was anything we could do now. Just then, a portal opened up close by to TUFF.

Shine: What is that?

Rarity: Is that some sort of portal?

Jeremy: Kind of looks like the one I came in from.

Pinkie: Why don't we go take a look?

Dudley: Are you sure?

Twilight: It might lead to something good.

We headed outside to see what was going on. Out of the portal came a squirrel/chipmunk girl who looked a bit like Sally, but different.

Sonic: Wait, you look a bit familiar. You kind of remind me of someone.

Squirrel/Chipmunk: Do you happen to know Brandon Hedgehog?

Dudley: Brandon Hedgehog?

Eli: We know a Brandon Mutt. He went down that alley. But something terrible has just happened to him.

The squirrel/chipmunk saw Brandon and recognized him. She went over to him.

Brandon: (Looks up) Michelle?

Michelle: Brandon! You sure changed.

Twilight: She knows who Brandon is?

Eli: But she can't be from his universe. It was destroyed.

Michelle turned over to us.

Michelle: Three quarters of it survived. I am from his universe. I'm his childhood friend.

Brandon: Michelle, I'm sorry you had to see me like this.

Michelle: I don't care how you look as long as I get to see you again. (she tries to hug him, but passes through)

Julia: Uh, I bet you didn't hear, did you?

Michelle: Hang on.

Michelle slips on special gloves and hugs Brandon with ease.

Julia: Huh? She can hug him now?

Twilight: But, we used magic to see if you universe was destroyed and we saw that it was.

Rarity: Could it be we saw the wrong world?

Michelle: It wasn't completely destroyed. 1/4 survived.

Sonic: Did you hear that, Brandon?

Tails: If 1/4 of your world survived, this means you can go home.

Michelle: His part of the planet was part of the 3/4 destroyed.

Amy: But if you know him, how did you survive?

Carmelita: Can't he just live in the 1/4 that survived?

Michelle: He won't be able to adapt. I managed to get some of our allies and civilians to safe places.

Fluttershy: Why wouldn't he be able to adapt?

Michelle: Because the environment is full of very harmful stuff to toons.

Rainbow: But he's a ghost now. How can something be harmful to a gh-

Kitty: (Holds the scepter that sealed Hatred away and points at it)

Rainbow: -_-

Michelle: This isn't the first time Brandon became a ghost.

Sly: Wait. What?

Pinkie: You mean he can be brought back to normal?

Eli: I don't know why, but I bet the answer is going to be "no".

Michelle: It won't be easy.

Kitty: Brandon, whatever it takes, are you alright with us restoring yourself to your physical form?

Dudley: We would like to see you just go home and be happy, but if your friend says you won't adapt there.....

Brandon: I may as well have my body restored.

Twilight: Alright. So how do we do it?

Michelle: First, we need to get rid of his chains.

Rainbow: And how are we going to do that?

Michelle: Brandon, you haven't let me down.

Then one chain link breaks and the entire chains falls off.

Kitty: Hey, the chains are off.

Carmelita: So, now what?

Michelle: We'll need some paper, ink, and paint.

Dudley: We have plenty back in TUFF. Let's go.

When we got back in, we explained to the Chief about the situation.

Kitty: Chief, a friend of Brandon's from his universe, which wasn't destroyed all the way, knows of a way to restore his body.

Chief: Really? What do you need?

Sonic: His friend says something about getting paper.

Tails: Do you have any paper that will work?

Chief: Let me see if there's anything in the storage room.

The chief went over and found some paper. He soon brought it back over.

Michelle: No, I'm going to need some paper a lot bigger than that.

Chief: Oh. (Goes over to get some larger paper)

Michelle: Perfect.

Michelle picked up a sheet matching Brandon's size.

Dudley: What are you going to do with that paper? (Michelle draws a body resembling my anthropology body, but less armored) Drawing? Really?

Michelle: I know what I'm doing. There. All done.

Brandon's ghost flew into the drawing, which came to life.

Rarity: What's happening, Michelle?

Michelle: Brandon is being reborn as a pure toon. (the draw emerges from the paper)

Rarity: Oh my.

Amy: Unbelievable.

Brandon: I feel kind of slim. (He turn to the side to reveal that he was as flat as paper)

All: Whoa!

Bentley: Anyway to fix that?

Murray: Yeah? That's just creepy.

Michelle: A few snacks should give him two more dimensions.

Kitty: Well, we have plenty of them.

Trixie: I heard that he was into chips.

Brandon went over to have some chips. After some junk food, he become realistically CGI.

Brandon: I think I overdid it.

Dudley: Oh dear. It looks like you went through the puffing portal.

Brandon: Puffing portal?

Kitty: One time, Dudley created this portal that made whatever went through it become puffy. Snaptrap, Birdbrain, Dudley and I went through it to get all puffy. Snaptrap and Birdbrain did it to become more powerful and Dudley and I went through it to stop them.

Dudley: And we almost had to spend an eternity with them in another dimension.

Brandon: That sounds like something a fan came up with.

Rainbow: So, are we good with Brandon, or is he not completely restored?

Michelle: He put on one dimension too many.

Rainbow: Excuse me?

Eli: He's only been in four. His own, Equestria, Mobius, and this one. How is four too many?

Michelle: Not THOSE kinds of dimensions. When he was flat, he was one-dimensional. Now, he's three-dimensional.

Eli: Oh.

Michelle: Not to worry. This has happened before.

Tails: So what's the next step?

Michelle tweaked Brandon's shoulder, releasing air through a valve; as the air escapes, he become cartoonishly two dimensional.

Amy: How are you feeling, Brandon?

Brandon: Better than I have in years. (he suddenly fidgets uncomfortably)

Sinthia: What's the matter?

Without a word, Brandon rushed to the bathroom. Everyone was a bit surprised at this at first.

Julia: I sure hope he's going to be OK.

Shine: I'm sure he will be. Why don't we not worry about him for a while?

Michael: I agree with Shine. We have a Christmas party to have.

Kitty: I have an idea, why don't I play some music while we all sing Christmas songs?

Applejack: That's a great idea, Kitty.

So that's what we did. We all gathered around the piano in the room and Kitty played it. And we sang a few Christmas songs such as Jingle Bells, Here's Comes Santa Claus, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and so much more. After we got done with them, we went off to do different things.

Spike: So, Ember, are you enjoying your first Hearts Warming?

Ember: I suppose so. I wish I could bring it back to the dragons of Equestria.

Spike: Well, you can. You are the dragon lord after all.

Ember: Hmmmm. You're right. I think it might be a little late to prepare now, but maybe next year.

Trixie: You could use magic to bring decorations to you.

Ember: I'm a dragon, not a unicorn.

Trixie: Oh yeah.

Then, Ember saw a purple drink. She went over and got a cup.

Spike: Ember, don't drink that! (Rushes over to stop her)

Trixie: Why can't she have this drink? It's just purple punch.

Spike: Huh? It is?

Trixie:

Ember: What did you think it was?

Spike: I thought it was fire out fruit juice.

Ember: Hmmm. (Looks at it) You know, it does kind of look like, Spike.

Trixie: Fire out fruit juice?

Spike: Fire out fruit is a type of fruit that blocks a dragon's fire breath out. It happened to me one time. But we were able to get the cure. And boy do I regret ever drinking that stuff.

Ember: It is a fruit we dragons have to be on the look out for. But this isn't fire out fruit juice, it's fruit punch. (Gets a cup and drinks some) And just to prove it. (Breaths a little fire to prove it isn't fire out fruit juice) See?

Spike: Alright. I think I'll have some, too. (He gets a cup and has some, too) Certainly not fire out fruit juice.

I was standing around when Hayai came by.

Hayai: Merry Christmas, Eli.

Eli: Oh. Merry Christmas, Hayai.

Hayai: Do you know where we are?

Eli: (Looks to see that we under the mistletoe) Oh.

Hayai:

Eli:

Jr and Sarah were watching.

Jr: It's great to see you have someone to love you for Christmas, Eli.

Sarah: And she happens to be a cheerleader, just like me.

Jr: Merry Christmas, you two.

Eli: Thanks, guys. Merry Christmas to you, too.

Sarah:

Jr: I wonder how Rosie, Shaun, and Will are doing?

Sarah: I don't know. Why don't we check up on them?

Jr and Sarah went to the simulation station to see their younger siblings still ice skating.

Sarah: Hey, boys. How are you doing?

Shaun: We're doing great, sis.

Will: We can ice skate.

Jr: H-how did you learn so fast?

Evelyn: Renae and I taught them.

Renae: Yep. They apparently were faster learners than I was.

Rosie: And that's funny since my dad is really really fast in our world.

Jr: I'm just as fast, too, sis.

Rosie: Oh yeah. And Jr's fast, too.

Evelyn: Running fast must run in the family, huh?

Jr: Yep. I bet when I have a son, he'll be just as fast as Dad and I are.

Sarah: It'll be great if that does happen.

Time had passed, then after a while, Brandon came out of the bathroom.

Brandon: Do NOT go in there! Whoo!

Julia: Are you feeling alright, Brandon?

Brandon: I went to the bathroom for the first time in five years.

Dudley: Whoa. Seriously?

Rainbow: Well, he was a living body of sand, Dudley!

Brandon: That was one part of being organic I DIDN'T miss.

Michelle: It's good to see you again, Brandon.

Brandon: Michelle, level with me, how badly am I hated back home?

Michelle: Are you kidding? Everyone spent the last five years looking for you!

Eli: Did you hear that?

Brandon: Yes. Yes, I did.

Michelle: Unfortunately, your new body can't handle the new environment back home.

Sonic: Well, what are we going to do about that? Brandon needs to go home, but there's something stopping him.

Michelle: I will train his body to handle the environment.

Eli: Does that sound good to you, Brandon?

Brandon: I'm definitely down for being with Michelle.

Everybody smiled, everyone except Julia.

Fluttershy: Julia, what's the matter?

Applejack: Aren't you happy for Brandon?

Julia: Yeah. But it looks like he's going to be leaving.

Twilight: Oh.

Michelle: Who said he had to?

All: Huh?

Michael: What do you mean?

Michelle: He can't go into the new environment without proper preparations. It would kill him instantly.

Michael: Oh.

Shine: So what does he have to do to get prepared?

Trixie: Does he need a magic boost from the Great and Powe-

Eli: No, Trixie. I don't think he needs that.

Michelle: He needs physical training.

Dudley: Then let's get to it.

Michelle: It'll take us some time. Don't worry about us. You carry on with your Christmas party.

And with that Michelle and Michael went away. Some of us were expecting Julia to still a bit sad, but she was actually happy.

Cat: Julia? Why are you so happy?

Julia: I'm happy Brandon has a friend who cares for him. I wanted to make him have a special Christmas, and I guess he'll be having one after all.

Cat: So you aren't as concerned now?

Julia: Nope.

Kitty: Well, if Julia isn't concerned for Brandon, neither are we.

Bentley: By the way, I have something for (Looks at the package he was given earlier) Matthew Rabbit.

Matthew: A package for me?

Bentley: Yeah. (Hands the package to Matthew)

Matthew: Where did you get this package from?

Bentley: When Sly, Murray and I were in the city to get the scepter, this white rabbit in pink clothes gave it to me to give to you.

Matthew: That was Natasha. She lives in that city.

Carmelita: I saw her and her friends one time. They're real life Power Rangers.

Matthew: Well, they don't call themselves that, but they wear different colored suits and fight monsters with giant robots.

Murray: Wish we had that.

Sly: Get over that Murray!

Murray: Sorry.

Kristina: Well, what did your cousin get for you?

Matthew: I don't know, I'll open it up.

Matthew opened up his package and inside was a snow-globe.

Kristina: Wow. It's a snow-globe.

Keswick: What's th-th-that?

We saw that inside the snow-globe was a model of the first five Foresgers in front of ForesOh.

Matthew: It's their Meg-Uh, giant robot.

Carmelita: I was actually in that robot. It gave me the idea to make my own giant robot.

Sly: What use would you have for a giant robot?

Carmelita: I don't know. Maybe if there was a giant monster in the city?

Kristina: Well, not many of those happen in Petropolis. And I don't think they do in France either.

Sinthia: Well, my dad had his own giant robot to destroy Petropolis with, but that wasn't a monster.

Matthew: Well, they had been happening in my cousin's city for a whole year. But she and her team managed to defeat the villain creating the monsters.

Kitty: This must have been a custom snow-globe. I don't think I've seen those in the shops.

Just then, Santa Claus came in.

Santa Claus: Hohoho. Merry Christmas.

Dudley: Santa? What are you doing here?

Santa Claus: I came by to tell you how well you've all been this Christmas time, trying to get Brandon to have a Merry Christmas.

Twilight: We tried to help him have a happy Christmas and to show him that nobody hates him.

Fluttershy: But, he got his energy drained....

Santa Claus: No need to tell me more. I know everything has happened. And although you weren't able to give him as merry a Christmas as you wanted, you at least tried. And that's all that mattered.

Well, we had a pretty swell Christmas. It looks like there's hope for Brandon after all. Merry Christmas, and Happy Hearts Warming everyone.
